ABEXUS was founded in 2019 by Adrián Alós and Eduardo Burgos, who set out to democratize sophisticated data analytics in Puerto Rico. Kevin González joined in 2021, adding expertise in economic research, public policy, and strategic advisory services.
Every engagement, from initial scoping to final deliverable, is led by the co-founders who designed it.

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Kevin González Toro
Kevin bridges law, economics, and policy to deliver analysis that reaches decision-makers, not just file cabinets. Before co-founding ABEXUS, he worked in private consulting and in NASA’s budget division, then spent about a decade at Estudios Técnicos, Inc., directing public policy, economic development, and regulatory technical-assistance projects.
That work included designing Puerto Rico’s child support pension system, helping establish a federal funds office within the Office of Management and Budget, preparing guidelines for internationalizing Puerto Rican companies and commercial guides for trade with Cuba, and building vulnerability and poverty indexes alongside several economic impact studies.
As ABEXUS CEO, he directs economic analysis, feasibility studies, federal funds advisory, and strategic engagements across Puerto Rico’s public and private sectors. He also serves as Executive Director of ABRE Puerto Rico, advancing open data and governance accountability.
Kevin began his studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, holds a Master’s in Economic Development from the London School of Economics and a JD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, and was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico in 2012. He has taught macroeconomics, international economics, and administrative law at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and Inter American University.

Eduardo Burgos-Suazo
Eduardo brings the social science rigor and operational discipline that keep ABEXUS grounded and client-focused. His background in sociology and years of practice at the intersection of data, behavior, and market conditions shape how ABEXUS frames its findings: not just what the numbers say, but why people and institutions behave as they do, and what that means for the decision at hand.
As COO, Eduardo leads client strategy, operations, and delivery, ensuring that analysis reaches decision-makers intact, with context, implications, and recommended actions. He continues to teach at the University of Puerto Rico, integrating social science rigor with applied economic practice.
Eduardo holds a Master’s in Sociology from UPR Río Piedras.

Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
Adrián Alós
Adrián built the technical architecture that gives ABEXUS its analytical edge. Trained in economics at York University in Toronto and self-taught in programming, he designed the dashboards, predictive models, and data infrastructure that power ABEXUS’s advisory work and helped establish the firm’s reputation for forecasting accuracy during Puerto Rico’s most uncertain years.
His work includes real-time COVID-19 economic dashboards that identified the island’s deepest contraction point before official sources confirmed it, an automotive market forecast that correctly predicted 110,000 new car sales in 2021, and federal funds dependency models that mapped capital flows across Puerto Rico’s major sectors.
As CTO, Adrián leads the technical development of ABEXUS’s analytics platforms, dashboards, and data visualization tools, the systems that turn complex conditions into decision-ready intelligence. He holds an economics degree from York University (Toronto).
